How it works

How scoring works.

Every point you earn is graded by the same rubric shown here. Pick well, watch the multipliers climb as the tournament deepens, and mind the tie-breakers.

1

Match scoring

For every match you predict the final scoreline. Each pick earns base points on a four-tier ladder, best tier first:

OutcomeBase points
Exact scoreBoth teams' goals correct.3 pts
Correct winner + goal differenceRight winner and the exact margin, but not the exact score.2 pts
Correct drawYou predicted a draw and it was a draw — just not the exact scoreline.2 pts
Correct result onlyRight winner (or draw), wrong margin.1 pt
MissWrong result.0 pts
90-minute settlement. Match picks are graded on the score at the end of normal time (90 minutes plus stoppage) only. Extra time and penalty shootouts do not count toward match scoring — a knockout tie level after 90 minutes is graded as a draw.
2

Round multipliers

Base match points are multiplied by the round they came from. The deeper the tournament runs, the more every call is worth — a correct result in the Final is worth six times the same call in the group stage.

RoundMultiplier
Group stage×1
Round of 32×1.5
Round of 16×2
Quarter-final×3
Semi-final×4
Final×6

Example: an exact score (3 base) in the Final earns 18 points (3 × 6).

3

Group standings

Predict the final 1–4 order of each group, plus each team's points tally. These are scored independently of individual matches.

OutcomePoints
Correct final positionPer team placed in its correct 1st–4th spot.+3 pts
Correct points tallyPer team whose final group-stage points you nailed.+2 pts
Perfect group bonusAll four positions in a group correct.+5 pts
4

Knockout bracket

Pick which teams reach each stage of the knockout rounds. Points are cumulative as a team advances: a team you tipped to win it all scores at every slot it fills along the way.

OutcomePoints
Reaches Round of 162 pts
Reaches Quarter-final4 pts
Reaches Semi-final8 pts
Reaches the Final (finalist)15 pts
Wins it all (champion)30 pts

A correctly-picked champion therefore banks 59 points across all five slots (2 + 4 + 8 + 15 + 30).

Prop bets

Five fixed novelty props set for the tournament. Each is worth 3–5 points depending on how hard it is to call, and is settled once the answer is known.

Tie-breakers

When two players finish level on total points, ranks are decided by this cascade, in order. Each step is only consulted if the previous one is still tied:

  1. 1Most exact-score hits. The player with more exactly-correct scorelines ranks higher.
  2. 2Most correct results. Then, more correctly-called match results (winner/draw).
  3. 3Champion pick. A correct champion pick beats an incorrect one.
  4. 4Golden Boot pick. Then, a correct Golden Boot pick beats an incorrect one.
  5. 5Earliest registration. Finally, whoever joined the pool first ranks higher.
If players remain dead level after every step above, the tie is unbroken and they split the pot for those places equally.

Point values on this page mirror the live scoring rubric that settles the pool. If a number changes there, it changes here.
